Noodle-Free Spaghetti
Spaghetti squash is incredible because it has the texture of cooked spaghetti but the nutritional content of a veggie
Need:
-1 spaghetti squash
-1 packaged of the leanest ground turkey you can find (98%)
-1 jar of spaghetti sauce (low-fat and preferably preservative free)
-Garlic to tastePrepare:
-Simmer the sauce for a few minutes and add the turkey breast. Add garlic to taste.
-Turn up the heat to medium and cook for 12-15 minutes, breaking up the turkey into smaller bits, until cooked through. -Meanwhile, stab 6-8 holes into the spaghetti squash with a knife. Cook in the microwave on high for 8 minutes and let cool for 5.
-Turn off the stove if turkey is done.
-Cut the squash on the equator and you should be able to scrape the spaghetti-like squash out with a fork into a bowl.
-Serve with sauceCrock-Pot Pulled Chicken
Need:
-4-6 chicken breasts, trimmed of fat and chopped into quarters
-Two jars of salsa, your preference (I like chunky salsa)
-3-5 cloves of garlic to taste
Prepare:
-Put salsa in the bottom of the crock-pot and then add the chicken breasts.
-Cook on low for 8 hours. –Pull chicken apart before serving. Can be stored in the fridge for up to three days or frozen after that point for 3 monthsFirst Post
